Why can’t I sell short LinkedIn?
I know this is a BS IPO overvaluation, but Schwab won't let me sell it short...saying it is ineligible. Why is this?

LinkedIn just started trading today. The IPO purchases haven’t settled yet.
If there is no borrow available, you can’t short. Check back with Schwab on Tuesday when the IPO trades should have settled.
Did you check to see if there are any put options trading yet? That’s another way to get downside exposure that might be available immediately.
EDIT: There is a Wall Street Journal story today about potential shorting of LNKD, and it confirms that Tuesday is the first possible day.
You have to wait until the settlement date… T+3 days meaning Tuesday you should be good!!! (T means trading day hence the IPO)
